Keren S. Pereira is a conservation biologist from Mumbai, India. She is passionate about mammals especially carnivores and their interactions with humans in a time where there is growing anthropogenic influence on the environment. In 2020, Keren completed her Masters degree in Conservation Science where she identified the diet compositions of leopards and leopard cats and the impacts of habitat fragmentation on their diets in the human-dominated Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. During her time in India, Keren was involved in WCS' annual leopard census and monitoring project in Mumbai. Since graduating her Masters, she has volunteered with the Resilient Conservation lab on the impacts of COVID-19 and its lockdowns on ecotourism, resource extraction and illegal wildlife trade in the Indian Subcontinent.
